Demonstration Kitchen (stage view)

So you thing giving cooking demonstrations are easy? Talking and cooking at the same time, what could be easier? Right?

Being an award-winning chef doesn't automatically make you great cooking demonstrator.
To keep the audience engaged and entertained.
Not to get flustered if the power goes off, even at big food show sometimes this can happen. To strike that balance between "here's one I did earlier" and still leaving enough cooking for the audience to see you do it. Behind the scenes they’re a hive of activity. The unsung heroes getting the prep done for the big name chefs.
Your slot is 1hour long...but then the director is asking to stretch it out because the chef on next is not ready yet.

If your a chef or a good amateur cook and you'd like to learn the in's and out's of performing cooking demonstrations then go the Chef's Chatboard and learn all about it. Learn the art of using your voice, pre-show preparation, use of sound equipment. Each week I will post a section in the chat board.
